Just One Great Big January Haul

I had decided that since there were so many sales in January which I felt I had to take advantage of, rather than post individual hauls I would group everything together and show you what I bought in January. This has been an opportunity for me to see just how easily influenced I am when I receive an email with the word sale or fellow bloggers mentioning new product releases.
Now everything has arrived I thought it was time to share my entire January sales purchases post.

If your taking part in a spending ban you may want to close the page now, I cannot be responsible for any queasiness upon scrolling down. :)

I've realised that after putting together this post, my spending has perhaps gone too far and I am way too easily influenced. The following pictures make me feel almost ill and I daren't add up a total cost. I'm going to be using this as my wake up call and throughout February I shall be trying my very best not to make any purchases. I have two exceptions. One, it's #therealtiannecheries birthday so I will have to purchase a gift for her although I do already know what to buy so I won't be going overboard. Two, I'm not sure upon the UK release but I really love the look of a couple of items from Mac Fantasy of Flowers collection. I will take things day by day and try my best so come the end of Feburary I should hopefully be slightly better off then at the end of January.

Please don't judge me in any way, I am weak to the sale sign as are many of us. It's what they are used for and it's worked very well in my case to lure customers in. So to all you beauty retailers out there.. I won't be persuaded by any more sales, I shan't lookout for offers through Twitter and I will not fall for any more money off new products offers. Yes, I'm looking at you Boots.

Without further a-due, here are the truly graphic images of a beauty bloggers lack of willpower. The images that shall be hidden forever from my other half (unless he reads this of course but the chances are slim.)

January haul
Michael Van Clarke Shampoo, Conditioner and Pre-wash treatment. I ordered these after receiving the travel set for christmas and once I'd managed to use them up, I chose to purchase the full sized products, I think to really see if these work there needs to be more product then what is provided in the travel sizes.

Stila had an amazing sale in January, I'd never tried any products from this brand before so thought it was the perfect opportunity. The sale was that good I went back twice more and even purchased a blush and an eyeshadow palette for some family members.

I've posted about my MeMeMe purchases and reviewed the products already but since I bought them all from a sale and in January I've included them here too.

Kiko was a brand that I hadn't heard of before, as I was reading through blogs it was there that I first heard of them and it was also through blogs I learned about the sale they had on at the time. I thought it was only right that I place an order so I could try out this brand and go on to post reviews in the future.

January haul

Revlon Lacquer balms and Matte balm were a new release at Boots, I had seen these on a few blogs and thought they would be perfect for Spring so when Boots sent an email informing me that the first 500 people would receive £2.00 off I had to see if I'd been fast enough. When I seen that all 3 had £2.00 off I couldn't resist and had to have them.

Illamasqua was a brand that I've seen around for a long while but not tried, I've never really seen anything that caught my eye enough to purchase, however during a blogger chat on Twitter I decided it was a brand that I'd love to purchase and try this year. I then noticed a tweet by Illamasqua so headed over to their website to find a sale, it was amazing with really excellent savings and the perfect opportunity to try another brand. The items I initially wanted weren't all in stock so I settled on 3 items for my first order. Upon arrival I was really happy with all the items so when I later received an email stating it was the last 24 hours of the sale and some sale items had been restocked, I rushed back over to find everything I had initially wanted was available. So yes, I placed a second order and ended up with plenty of new products to try.

Neither of the two jewellery items above were in a sale, however the prices were reasonable so this is why I purchased them. The bracelet interested me as I had just seen a review by a fellow blogger and once I headed over to LVNDR and looked around I just had to try one for myself, the items are beautiful and the prices are amazing, I don't do the bracelet any justice in this picture above but I really am happy with it. The Tresor Paris ring is another item I seen a fellow blogger rave about so when I seen that the price was £19.00 I thought surely it must have been incorrect for a Tresor Paris item, however it wasn't wrong and turns out the ring was amazingly priced. I really fell in love with the ring and feel it's well worth it's value and thats what lead me to the purchase.

Lastly, I'm sure everybody and their pets knew about the Models Own half price sale. When they reached 250,000 likes on Facebook they were holding a huge half price off sale. I knew when I first heard about this I would be participating in this sale as I love Models Own and knew that throughout the year I would be purchasing new nail polishes so I chose to stock up while they were half price. I placed an order and felt satisfied with my basket but one and that's because the famous Northern Lights wasn't in stock. When I received them I was over the moon but decided to take another look incase I had missed any the first time around and managed to fill my basket with a further 9 polishes. Northern Lights was back in stock and was the reason that I went through with a second order.

To finish up this post I would like to sincerely apologise to my bank account. Don't get me wrong I am happy with all the items but can't help feeling slightly ashamed of myself, at least this lot may last me awhile and I will be able to bring some great reviews once I've tried everything out.

Have you spotted anything that you would like to see reviews on? Has there been anyone else who has been sucked in by the sales?

Lots of Love
