My fiancé must have been having a good day last week as I was lucky enough to be surprised one night when I arrived home from cheer. He has never suprsed me with something from my wish list before never mind something he has clearly thought about and picked from the many *ahem* pages full of items I've wished for over the years. Yes I must get round to organising them at some point.

Unfortunately though he handed me my surprise at about 10pm which was rather unfortunate since I was ever so excited to put the Magnetic Lash mascara to the test but there was no way I was applying after I had just removed the existing make up that had been on my face all day.

Next morning and I was up and testing this out perhaps before sunrise, ok slight exaduration but early.

Have you ever wanted the effect of super long natural lashes without all the glue and the mascaras that don't quite live up to the claims? I sure have and since I'm left wishing that my everyday mascaras would sometimes provide lashes that would rival those of my Katy Perry Oh Honey's I'm often left a little deflated when my mascaras are applied.

It's fair to say that I'm not blessed with the longest and darkest lashes of them all, infact quite the opposite which leaves me constantly looking for something to help me improve the appearance of my lashes to help with the effect of them being all beautiful and fluttery.
I've tried an abundance of mascaras all promising to give me false lash effect results and while I may come across a couple that I'm happy to settle with none of them really give me my overall desired effect.

Santhilea Magnetic Lash mascara provided me with those results, results that I'm yet to find a mascara able to achieve. In fact I don't think that a mascara could achieve these results without the extra added fibres that come with the Magnetic Lash.
After applying Magnetic Lash mascara and the Lash Building fibres I was left in utter astonishment, Yes I was expecting great results but nothing could have prepared me for the length that these built up to. For me with having short, fair lashes this just gave me immediate and undeniable oomph.

The first thing that I noticed about Magnetic Lash mascara when applied is that it's not volumising, it's purely to lengthen and enhance. It separated the lashes and coated them with a truly black mascara which then topped with the fibres created a long lash but there was no volume in the base of the lashes.

I applied the Magnetic Lash mascara first which separated each lash, quickly I then brushed the fibres onto the ends of the freshly applied mascara before it dried.
You can see the fibres transfer to the lashes and magically place and attach themselves providing instant length.
Once the base mascara dried it was difficult to try and attach any more fibres so instead I moved onto the bottom lashes.
You're able to apply multiple coats to achieve the desired effect so if you didn't manage to cover all the lashes the first time you can go back and add more once they have all set.
I applied the fibres to the bottom lashes and moved onto the next eye so again the fibres could set.
Once both sets of lashes had fibres attached it was then time to go back and coat them with the mascara again. This locks the fibres in place and helps to provide a natural effect by smoothing the fibres onto the lashes.
This is where you can also start to build up and add multiple layers if you choose.

When the fibres are first applied to the mascara they can almost look 'fluffy' but once a second coat of the mascara is applied they seem to smooth down and look.. well.. natural. They look like natural lashes and the results are truly amazing.

Magnetic Lash has proven to be long lasting, each time I have applied the lash fibres they have easily lasted 8-9 hours with a tiny amount of fibre fall out. It's an unnoticeable amount that has no effect on the overall look.

You can just see the fibres attached to the ends of the lashes here. 2 layers of Magnetic Lash.

I've tested this with a couple of mascaras to see if I could achieve thick voluminous lashes with the added length, it's safe to say that the results are exactly what I had hoped for.

Using Rimmel's ScandelEyes mascara and Bourjois Volume MAX mascara I've layered them up twice each and added on top a layer of Magnetic Lash.
The Rimmel ScandelEyes gave the best results, giving the all important volume to the base of the lashes and the magnetic mascara added the much needed length resulting in a finish that wouldn't only be classed as natural since they are my own lashes but rivalled the false lash itself upon the overall finish. The results speak for themselves in the before and afters but to think I could achieve this from my own lashes? Wow!

Some may wonder whether the Lash Building fibres may drop off and even worse fall into eyes? Throughout the day there were a few fibres that had fallen loose and ended up laying on my face but these are easily brushed away and aren't noticeable unless closely looked at.
I haven't had any fibres fall into my eyes, they do seem to either stay on the wand or connect right to the mascara. I did wonder about this myself though but looking through the instructions inside the box it does state that:
"If any fibres falls into your eyes, don't worry just close your eyes gently and the natural fluids will wash it into the corners. Alternativly, use the corner of a wet tissue to remove it."
It also goes on to say that Magnetic Lash is safe for contact lens wearers.

Magnetic Lash was easy to remove at the end of the night and I simply removed this as I would a normal mascara. There is no special removal techniques needed which is super convenient and easy.

One question still remains and that's whether I would throw away all my false lashes in replace of Magnetic Lash? Well no actually I wouldn't. My false lashes are still here to stay and it's down to one factor that I'm yet to mention. The price.

You see, when I'm in need of a lash boost I turn to the Katy Perry false lashes by Eylure which cost £5.95 per pack, which with proper care can last me weeks or even months depending how often I wear them. That's good value, however the Magnetic Lash mascara comes in at a rather hefty £24.99. While the results are well worth the money the thing with mascaras is that unfortunately they do run out, the fibres will use up and there is the reality of the mascara drying out if we try to prolong the life of our mascara by using it less often. Whether we use this enough to justify the price is something that depends on each individual. While I wouldn't throw away my false lashes, I would also repurchase so I have an option of the kind of finish I'd like to achieve as this looks far more natural than false eyelashes do.

When I first received this I had every intention to replace my regular mascaras with Magnetic Lash and have it as my everyday mascara but in actual fact I haven't been using this as much as I would like. No particular reason I just find it more convenient and quicker to use a regular mascara.

Overall it's easy enough to use, although you feel like your racing the drying time trying to get enough fibres stuck on which can in turn lead to messy application and clumpy lashes but so long as your careful and take your time even if it means multiple layers you can achieve a much nicer result.
A tip I've learnt through experience is that once on, don't use a lash brush to try and separate the lashes as it results in all the fibres been taken away with the brush.
If you just can't seem to master the art of applying false lashes then this could be the perfect solution for you.

I will repurchase this, perhaps not right away but I can't fault Magnetic Lash as a product so therefore it's something that will always have an open place waiting in my collection.

Santhilea Magnetic Lash 1-2-1 Lash Extension System is available from Feel Unique for £24.99

Have you tried the Magnetic Lash before? Do you think you would replace false lashes for Magnetic Lash?
