I've heard many a time that these two concealers are somewhat similar and that Collection's could be classed as a dupe for the Nars. I'll be comparing the two and seeing if this really is the case and if Collection's offering is just as good as the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. With a price difference of £17.81, the Nars concealer being the more expensive at £22.00, it would need to be pretty special to be purchased if there is a similar offering for less than a fifth of the price elsewhere right?

Packaging
The Nars packaging is much nicer than Collection's with a nicer looking tube, writing that stays put and the usual matte black lid, it looks much nicer among a make up kit than the worn looking packaging of Collection although with the price difference I could easily look past this and concentrate on the product instead. Both concealers have doe foot applicator's and neither seems better than the other with both distributing a nice amount of product.

Coverage
Both versions are medium/full coverage and are quite thick concealers. They both provide good coverage of under eye darkness and coverage of blemishes and problem areas such as redness. I feel like Collections was slightly drying compared with the Nars and took more effort to blend. You needed much more Collection product to cover the same kind of area which meant it started to feel heavy whereas Nars was very much a little goes a very long way. Collection's concealer seemed to sit on the skin and be slightly more noticeable especially under the eyes whilst the Nars buffed into the skin nicely which in turn brightened the area giving it a lit from within glow. Both concealers do the job of hiding imperfections but I feel Nars wins again hands down.

Colour
I use the lightest colour in each concealer so in the Nars Radiant Creamy I use the shade Chantilly and in the Collection Lasting Perfection I use the shade Fair. Nars have a much larger colour selection and I believe there are 10 shades to choose from whereas Collection has a much smaller shade range only having 4 shades in the selection. Chantilly is for the palest complexions being a true ivory shade, the next shade being Vanilla which has a tiny cast of pink. Fair is still very light but compared with Chantilly seems darker, it appears to have more neutral undertones although when they're blended out look very very similar.

Lasting Power
Both concealers surprised me with their lasting power. I was expecting and hoping for Nars to stay in place and was pleasantly surprised to see that not only was it still looking almost as fresh as applied but still brightened the under eye area making it a pleasure to wear. I didnt feel the need to retouch it during the day which meant less chance of it looking caked on by the end of the night. Collection was a pleasant surprise and stayed put for most of the day although as it began to fade and wear away it became slightly patchy and looked as though the skin was quite dry, needing only a slight touch up it still did the job of concealing but didn't look great by the end of the night, appearing slightly grey and ageing.

I can't sing the praises of the Nars concealer enough, overall it's my much preferred concealer and although there are similarities between the two, in this case, the saying "you get what you pay for" is very much true. Although the Nars concealer is expensive it's without a doubt the concealer for me, in fact it's my holy grail concealer and I will continue to repurchase this as long as it's available. It's brightening, creamy, long lasting, easy to blend and I can see a tube lasting me at least a year. Having said that Collections offering is great value for money and is a perfect alternative if you don't need to use a lot of concealer in the first place or like to have some on hand for any unexpected blemishes. Even if you only need to apply for a few hours each day rather than the entire day this would be a great option. For the price of the Collection concealer it's perhaps worth giving it a try before spending outright on the Nars, especially if would make you shed a tear buying it as it did me.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer is available from Boots for £4.19 and Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is available from Look Fantastic for £21.00.

Have you tried these concealers before? Do you agree with anything from my comparison between them? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Lots of Love
