There aren't quite words to describe the true beauty of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes. I'll keep this post short and sweet and let the pictures do the talking, a picture is worth a thousand words after all.

I only own one single other product which may compare to the elegance of these blushes however I simply cannot bring myself to swatch it yet... so more on that at a later date.

Hourglasses Ambient lighting blushes are all about pristine packaging, desirable shades and flawless powders that create a soft focus dimensional effect.

With my favourite being Ethereal Glow and the other end of the scale being Mood Exposure all the blushes are perfect and although I have a least favourite that doesn't by any means mean I don't like the blush I just prefer the others as they are more wearable daily for my skin tone.

The lasting power and colour payoff is impressive considering they are all swirled with the sheerer Ambient Lighting powders and only one, Ethereal Glow, requires building up to a more desired shade. Colour payoff's also gentle and soft resulting in flushed cheeks with a glow unique to each blush.

I can't fault a single quality and do believe they are worth every expensive penny. They just last and last. I've used them daily and have done so for about 6 month and not a single dent is showing in any of the powders.
As I said they are quite expensive which although worth it could also be the products only downfall but as the saying goes you get what you pay for, it's very much true in this case.

I've gifted one or two of these in the past as I really do love them so much and believe that most  people who try them will adore them too.
They really are very special products and it took me awhile to finally acquire all six but I rarely find myself reaching for other blushes whilst these are in my drawer.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes are available from SpaceNK for £28.00 each.

Have you tried anything from Hourglasses Ambient Lighting range? The Ambient Lighting powders are next on my ever growing wish list.

The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014 | Latest in Beauty

Beauty boxes seem to be everywhere at the moment, Look Fantastic recently released one, French company My Little Box is now available in the UK, the usual subscription boxes, limited edition Philip Kingsley boxes from You Beauty Discovery and Latest in Beauty's newest arrival.

I love a good Beauty box. I prefer to know what's inside though before purchasing, it offers a choice and a knowledge of whether we will enjoy the contents and saves the disappointment that an ok box can bring. Latest in Beauty are one off boxes so no subscription required and you can always see whats inside before making the purchase. They usually also carry plenty of stock so there are less disappointed beauty enthusiasts who didn't manage to snap one up in time.

If I could only choose one place to get my beauty box fix from it would no doubt be Latest in Beauty every time. The boxes they manage to drop on us at affordable prices and great value are second to none. Great brands and new releases are often featured in the boxes and great collaborations with the likes of Glamour and British Beauty Blogger mean that these are often untouchable and perfect every time.

The latest release is another Glamour box and yet another winner. With brands such as Laura Mercier and Philip Kingsley and with a range of products including cosmetics, haircare and skincare it's appealing to most.

The Glamour Beauty Power List 2014 contains:

Liz Earl Hot Cloth Cleanser & muslin cloth 30ml.
This is most definitely a well known and favourited product. I hear such fantastic things about this all the time and I'm really pleased to finally try this out. It's thoughtful that the muslin cloth is included and it's a really good trial sized product.

Eyeko Eye Makeup Remover Wipes 10 wipes.
Whilst this isn't the most exciting product included it's a nice extra and won't go wrong. I'm sure these will be used up at some point and they are nice to have on hand for convenience.

Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defence 60ml.
I'm a big fan of Philip Kingsley's Elasticiser and I'm yet to anything else from the brand so this will be a great insight into some of the other products on offer. Another useful product and again a great sized sample.

Laura Mercer Foundation Primer 30ml.
This is actually my third primer from Laura Mercier and I've received all of them in Beauty boxes previously. They seem to be a popular choice to include but I can see why. I love the primers and really like to have back up's so another is welcome in my collection. They do a great job with most foundations that I've paired them with and provide a smooth and fresh base for make up application.

James Reed Sleep Tan Mask 25ml.
I keep overlooking this one and if I'm honest I've already put it with the rest of my tan collection, probably not to be seen again until a special occasion. I said in a previous post that I'm not much of an all seasons tanner so not sure when I will get around to trying this. It's a great idea though but scares me slightly of what I may wake up looking like? ... moving on.

Bourjois Volume 1 Second Mascara Full Sized.
I've noticed previously that Latest in Beauty like to add mascaras into their boxes and quite often they can be quite new releases. This is great for trying out newer products and weirdly shaped new wands that we wouldn't perhaps head straight towards in Boots or such places and as mascara doesn't have the longest usage life then these are useful for replacing what we should possibly have thrown away already.

Maybelline Stripped Nudes Lipstick Full Sized.
I seen this and thought straight away 'backup'. Nothing appealed to me to be honest. Just the fact it was a nude lipstick but the packaging was plain, we were offered an Illamasqua lipstick in a recent box and the fact it was Maybelline. Nothing against Maybelline lipsticks but often the better ones are usually from Bourjois or L'Oréal, in my opinion and I'd often overlook them. But I can now happily say that I was wrong. Totally wrong. The lipstick is flawless. It's great coverage with a beautiful finish and it has staying power. I love this and would repurchase tomorrow. It also smells divine!

Glamour Magazine Annual Digital Subscription.
I'm still unsure as to whether this costs anything or the subscription is free. I signed up and haven't had to pay anything for this month's issue but on the Latest in Beauty website it says that you receive an annual subscription discounted by 62%. That would have me thinking there is still a small fee to pay? As I said I'm not sure but still a great magazine and a welcome subscription that will help to pass away any free time nicely.

Latest in Beauty's Glamour Beauty Power List 2014 can be found here for £15.99.
There are a few discount codes that I know of at the moment, worth a try but can only be used once each per account. 10OFF for 10% off and 15OFF for 15% off.

What's your favourite box at the moment? Are you a Beauty box fan? If so are there any you would recommend?

Amazing brands, Fantastic Box, Lacking in excitement?

I'm not going to lie. I wasn't blown away. In fact I may be the only person so far that is slightly, slightly disappointed with the #LFBeautybox?

I've tried three out of six products contained in the surprise box and two of the three that I hadn't tried were a shampoo and conditioner. That left only the Jurlique product to be enthusiastic about. I wanted to write a great review on a fantastic selection of products that came with a fun and worthy surprise element however I'm left wondering if the element of surprise is what left the box lagging slightly?

You see I had high hopes. The contents of the box were a huge secret right up until delivery day when the blogger world went crazy posting about what the box contained. There were no spoiler's, no clues.  It was all kept hush hush. By keeping such a secret, the surprise and anticipation as to what was in the very first Look Fantastic Beauty Box was huge. I was expecting fireworks jumping out of the box along with colours and a nice variety of products.

What the box did contain was an amazing brand selection. From well known and higher end brands that many people love very much and others who will get to try them out for the first time. If these products are new to you then the box will be much more desirable however for me personally there were no fireworks, no eye catching colours and not much variety.

I'd have liked there to have been a bigger "wow" factor upon opening considering it was the first box. Having said that I believe that the box is worth every penny and I have already pre-ordered October's offering in hope that there will be a different assortment of products.

Contents of the #LFBeautyBox in order of favourites first.

Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Serum. 15ml.
A brand that I have heard much about yet to try any products. The most exciting item for myself as it's completely new to me. A nice sized item to truly see what the product has to offer.

Kérastase Nutritive Shampoo and Conditioner. 80ml & 75ml
It's hard to say whether this is my second favourite as a shampoo and conditioner isn't anything overly exciting however it's another brand that I haven't yet had a chance to try but again heard so much about. I guess I'm finally glad that I'm able to give it a go but still I can't shake off not being excited about them.

thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. 5ml
I love this spray. I was lucky enough to pick up the full sized in a sale once so since I have this it's nothing new yet a great product. It's a small sized item although there is plenty in to give it a good trial and will do nicely for travelling.

Caudalie Divine Oil. 15ml
Again love the brand however not the product. I've tried a sample sized Divine Oil before that I received in a Birchbox and whilst I wanted to love it ever so much I was left disappointed and reverted back to my usual oils. I love other products by the brand but this wasn't for me.

St Tropez Bronzing Mousse. 50ml
St Tropez is my go to self tan. I use it. I love it. Why my least favourite item in the box? I have plenty of self tan left over from Summer. I like to tan but I'm not an all seasons tan kinda girl. I like to tan for special occasions or for wearing shorts and skirts but not for everyday and I can't help feel that it wasn't the right time to put self tan in a beauty box? It's coming up Autumn. A few month ago and this would have been a perfect sample to include but I simply feel that unless you're a huge tan lover then this may be left sitting until a more convenient time? I may be wrong but just personal opinions.

Like I said, I wanted to love this box and for it to be everything I had hoped but for me it just wasn't a winner. For others it will be an amazing box and I think that like most surprise boxes it's just a matter of opinion. I'm not going to give up on Look Fantastic's offerings yet though and I would like to try a further few boxes to really get a feel for what they are offering. In terms of beauty boxes and compared to others on the market I think it's a great box and the brands included really help to shoot this up there with the best on offer at the moment.

You can pre-order October's box here at Look Fantastic which will be released 4th October. I'd be quick if your interested though as September's box flew out of stock pretty fast.

What did you think of Look Fantastic's first box? Have you pre-ordered October's?
