Cohorted Beauty Box | February 2015

Cohorted Beauty Box February 2015 Review

Cohorted Beauty Box February 2015 Review

I couldn't believe what I was reading the first time I heard about this! Really? A Beauty Box... from Cohorted!!

Let me explain... I love Beauty Boxes and I love Cohorted. Simple!

I've ordered a good amount of makeup from Cohorted now, they're amazing at introducing us to things we didn't even know we needed wanted until we seen that they had such a good discount on these items and not just any products for that matter but top brands that everyone knows and lusts after, think Dior, MAC, Urban Decay, Nars, Too Faced, Chanel. Yep the biggies!

So, what did the amazing Cohorted team choose to put in a Beauty Box after offering such amazing items for sale during cohorts? Naturally I was hoping for big brands, a selection of skincare and cosmetics and a mixture of full sizes and deluxe sample sizes... not to mention a pleasing price tag.

Did they manage to pull off a box that lived up to such high expectations?

Take a peek inside and see...

Yes, Cohorted really pulled this one off. I remember last year when Look Fantasic announced they were launching a Beauty Box and it was huge, people were smitten and with what the box offered and the amazing selection of brands inside but can I just say now that Cohorted have just owned the Beauty Box world with this whopper of a box! Benefit, D&G? I'm afraid this will take some topping by others in the future.

So I've said it, personally I don't feel as though any other beauty box will be able to top what Cohorted have offered this month!
Although before I get too ahead of myself I need to mention that this is the first box and I think I should wait to judge just how good it really is after the release of future boxes.

February's Included:

Benefit Bella Bamba Lip Gloss *Full sized* £14.50
Woah, a full sized benefit product. Very impressive but even more impressive that it's not other Benefit sample mascara. A fun and high end make up item is the perfect way to start a box!

Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cleanser *Deluxe sample* £15.00
The second product is a cleanser. Not just any cleanser, but a Korres cleanser. It smells fresh and after giving it a try, does a really good job, a little goes very far and it leaves the skin feeling lovely and soft. I really like Korres for  their skincare so was pleased this brand was featured.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara. *Deluxe sample*£8.00
My least favourite of the 5 products included simply because I have a favourite mascara and in my mind nothing else can touch it. It's handy for travel however and a good well known brand so still a great item to include!

Korres Quercetin & Oak Eye Primer *Full sized* £10.00
OK, all day long I've thought this was an eyeshadow primer so my thoughts were hmm, not bad but not super exciting however just now *roughly 8 hours later* and I've read the contents card and found it's actually a primer for the entire eye area so works for the under eye also for applying such as concealer! I've given this a try and I'm happy with the results, it brightens and I actually didn't bother applying concealer afterwards.

Dolce & Gabanna Clarifiying Lotion *Full sided* £20.00
Yes you read that right! No I'm not exaggerating! Dolce & Gabanna FULL sized... in a £19.99 box. Cohorted you are currently king of the Beauty Boxes! What a product to add, no wonder there was such a huge fuss about these boxes! The Clarifying Lotion itself is beautiful. In a frosted glass bottle it has a luxurious feel, smells fresh and lightly floral, and managed to wipe away the remainder of makeup once I'd used the Korres cleanser.

I don't think Cohorted could have offered a better box if they tried. It's raised the bars for all current and future Beauty Boxes and it's left me full of excitement with butterflies as to what will be in the March box.

My Cohorted Beauty Box Tip

Cohorted have recently launched a new website design which now unfortunately only offers free shipping with orders of £20.00 and over. If like myself your not a fan of paying delivery and you'd like to order future Beauty Boxes then here is a little tip for saving on the delivery charge.

Since the boxes sell out super quick, log into your Cohorted account hours before they are due to go on sale. Have a shop around and find yourself one of the many bargain products and add it to your bag, as we speak there are lipsticks currently costing £1.50 and liquid blushes for £1.99 both cheaper than the delivery charge. Not only is this an extra treat for yourself but by adding one of there items it brings your order total to over £20.00 and it's actually cheaper to buy a new lipstick then pay the £2.50 for postage.

BUT make sure this is in your basket while logged into your account, that way Cohorted will keep it in there and when the time comes that the Beauty Boxes are released you won't be wasting time in which they may all sell out and you get the all important free postage!

Overall I'm very impressed with the latest offering in terms of Beauty Boxes. It's offered a selection of makeup, skincare and impressive brands. Mostly full sized items meaning it's impressively good value for money.

Keep a look out for the next pre-order for Cohorted's beauty boxes on Twitter so you don't miss out as these sell out FAST!

What did everyone else think of Cohorted's first beauty box? Was everyone as impressed as me or did you not see what all the fuss was about?

Valentine's Lust List 2015

Valentine's 2015 is fast approaching. Last year I wrote a Valentine's Gift Guide so I've decided to write a Valentine's Lust List this year showing all the things I've been lusting over that I think would make wonderful Valentine's gifts. I'm extremely lucky to have a wonderful Fiancé that makes me incredibly happy so this is really just an imaginative list of things I'd love and things I can dream about... Because we can all dream!

1. Tiffany & Co Charm Bracelet. £160 I'd love a Tiffany's charm bracelet. I probably couldn't afford the charms but nevertheless they're all beautiful. There are many other charm bracelets which are more affordable available but if I could have a super special one this would be it!

2. Diptyque Mini Candle Set of 5. £58.00 Living in the country means that I can't just drop into luxury shops selling high end brands very often so Diptyque candles are off the cards as being as expensive as they are and not knowing the scents can be a risky purchase, however this mini set of 5 would mean that I could try different scents and have an idea if I chose to purchase a full size so it's a winner! Candles included are Opoponax, Ambre, Pomander, Feu de Bois, Genevrier.

3. Cohorted Beauty Box. £19.99 I wished super hard for the Cohorted Beauty Box for Valentines Day so I was really lucky for my Fiancé to manage to snap one up in the recent release. I feel really lucky since there was so few of these boxes available and huge demand but now it's just whether he will be kind enough to let me have it a little early then I can write a review... and because he loves me!

4. Chloé Love Story Eau de Parfum 50ml £55.25 I've recently been putting together a list of places I'd like to visit and places I'd like to see and Paris is way up there at the very top. One of the things I'd like to do in Paris is visit the Pont des Arts Bridge and add a padlock on with Dan because I just think this is so romantic and I was reading all about it in a book recently. This paired with the fact I love perfume means this recent release and myself are a match made in heaven.

5. Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne 30ml £40.00 I originally added the Nectarine Blossom and Honey to my Lust List but just as I was writing this up changed my mind. Although my original choice sounds lovely I just came across a Red Roses cologne and instantly knew that for Valentine's Day this should be my first ever Jo Malone fragrance. Again, just wishing, but I recently tweeted that this year I'd love to try something Jo Malone so perhaps the time has come?

6. Christian Louboutin Décolleté Satin Pumps. £425.00 Hello beautiful shoes. I am without a doubt much more of a bag girl than a shoe girl and never wear heels, simply because I've always struggled to walk in them but recently, *must be age*, I've wanted to try harder and perhaps give them a try and become that little bit more sophisticated, so what better way to start then with a stunning and expensive pair of Christian Louboutins, every girls fantasy shoes, am I right?

7. Anya Hindmarsh Heart Hands Small Tote. £1195.00 How relevant for Valentines Day with the cute little hand heart. It's been on my 'wishlist' for a long time and I just love it so much. It's very expensive so I'll happily never own this but I just had to add it anyways. It is a lust list after all. *dreamy sigh*

8. Nars Dual-Intensity Palette. £45.00 I was intrigued by the Nars Dual-Intensity eyeshadow singles but slightly put off by the price. The palette gives a variety of shades and a slick looking outside case for a reasonable price so of course I'm lusting over this. It's fast selling out everywhere and is a Limited Edition but hopefully there will be some similar palettes in the future.

9. Steiff Hot Water Bottle Bear. £265.00 Yeah I love Teddy Bears! So cute! This one has been on my wishlist for years but obviously being quite pricey I've never actually bought it and just rather looked at it. Valentine's is a perfect excuse to add it to a list because lots of people buy cuddly toys for this romantic day don't they? Which means I can lust after it all over again.

10. Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette. £56.00 Last but not least, yet another eyeshadow palette. Slight weakness showing through here? I chose the palette Obscura to add to the Lust List because it's probably the one I'd use the most being neutral shades. I love Hourglass so I just know this will be phenomenal but one I'm shying away from at the moment because of the price. Possibly when SpaceNK have their Try Something New Offer on I may just give in but we'll see. Watch this space!

So that's it for my collection of items all added together this year and I hope you've enjoyed getting a glimpse of what I'd love to see on Valentine's Day. Of course I don't expect anything here and just have fun putting them all together and sharing with readers what I personally love. I'm more than happy just to spend the day with my Valentine and celebrate it being our 5th together!

Lots of Love
